On December 3, 2013, Garrett-Evangelical will partner with
an organization called #GivingTuesday in an effort to harness the collective
power of charities, families, businesses, and individuals to transform how
people think about and participate in the giving season. This one day for
giving to Garrett-Evangelical is even more exciting as an anonymous donor has
offered to match the total giving, up to $25,000. Thus, your gift is
automatically doubled.
What’s giving to Garrett-Evangelical all about? This is about students like Lynn Christer Mawia.
Christer, who is from Yangon, Myanmar (Burma), plans to use her Master of Divinity degree to work with social justice oriented organizations that are having a
great impact for the people of Burma and our world. Christer is just one of 500 reasons to support theological
education at Garrett-Evangelical. Your gift on December 3rd will
have a lifetime of impact for our students as they serve the Church and our
world. On December 3rd we encourage you to make a gift at www.garrett.edu/giving.
